Responsibilities
- Analyze an evolving portfolio of increasingly complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
- Identify potential opportunities and risks and communicate these to our clients.
- Research and stay updated on current market trends to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisor.
- Build client relationships and demonstrate your deep knowledge of the real estate, hospitality, and construction industry.
- Develop clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our clients' tax activities.
- Research our clients' business operations and build long-lasting relationships to tailor your advice to their specific needs.
- Supervise a motivated team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to reach their full potential.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- A CPA certification or membership in a state bar.
- Seven to ten years of real estate tax experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Extensive knowledge in partnership taxation, REITs taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring.
- Experience managing budgets, people, and projects.
- Business development within the market.
Qualifications
- Proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
- Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
- The ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects.
- Strong influencing skills and the confidence to question existing processes.
- Willingness to travel as needed, and work in a balanced hybrid environment.

At EY, you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in the US is $147,400 to $336,800, with a higher range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento).
