Responsibilities

  • Analyze and advise on increasingly complex tax operations for a diverse client base.
  • Identify potential opportunities and risks and communicate these insights to clients.
  • Research current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
  • Build and manage client relationships, tailoring advice to specific needs.
  • Develop clear, intelligent plans to improve clients' tax activities.
  • Supervise a team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to reach their full potential.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • A CPA certification or membership in a state bar.
  • Seven to ten years of real estate tax experience in a professional services environment.
  • Extensive knowledge in partnership taxation, REITs taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring.
  • Experience managing budgets, people, and projects.
  • Business development within the market.

Qualifications

  • Proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
  • Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects.
  • Strong influencing skills and the confidence to question existing processes.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment.

At EY, you'll benefit from a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including a competitive base salary range ($147,400 to $336,800 in the US, $177,000 to $382,800 in the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California excluding Sacramento), a wide range of paid time off options, and a flexible vacation policy.
