Responsibilities
- Analyze an evolving portfolio of increasingly complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
- Identify potential opportunities and risks and communicate these to our clients.
- Research and stay updated on current market trends to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisor.
- Build client relationships and demonstrate deep knowledge of the real estate, hospitality, and construction industry.
- Develop clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our clients' tax activities.
- Research clients' business operations and build long-lasting relationships to tailor your advice to their specific needs.
- Supervise a motivated team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to reach their full potential.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- A CPA certification or membership in a state bar.
- Seven to ten years of real estate tax experience, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Extensive knowledge in partnership taxation, REITs taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring.
- Experience managing budgets, people, and projects.
- Business development within the market.
Qualifications
- Proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
- Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
- The ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects.
- Strong influencing skills and the confidence to question existing processes.
- Willingness to travel as needed, and work in a balanced hybrid environment.
