The Financial Secretary position is part-time located in Lansing, MI. The position is non-exempt and falls under the Financial category.

Responsibilities

  • Deposits and Receipting of Donations
  • Account Payables
  • Payroll and Tax Reporting
  • Income/Expense Statements
  • Career Development
  • Coordinate Annual Review
  • Manage Online Giving
  • Health Insurance Add and Deletes
  • Receptionist Duties When Not Covered By Other Staff

Requirements

  • Administrative/Executive Assistant experience required.
  • Work with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
  • Must keep detailed records at all times and develop a highly efficient electronic and paper filing system.
  • Must be comfortable learning and utilizing YFC's Salesforce CRM technology on a daily basis.
  • Work on any special projects as requested with the ability to prioritize and reprioritize.
  • Relationally driven with natural ability to grow and maintain relationships with significant and influential individuals both internally and externally.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to problem solve, focus and analyze situations and data in the face of conflicting priorities and multiple demands while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Able to listen well, follow directions and work collaboratively with colleagues across many departments and ministries.
  • Self-initiated ability to analyze and improve on operations.
  • Must be comfortable with a high frequency of electronic communication.
  • Must have intermediate/advanced typing and computer skills including: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general internet knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in an office environment

Fundraising Responsibilities

The position requires raising 50% of your support by building a "support team" with the help of our staff. (This will be a work in progress over the next year. There are matching funds to help new staff get started.)
