About the Role

The Financial Reporting Manager (Temporary) position at Atlantic Group supports financial reporting, audit coordination, tax compliance, and accounting operations within a complex healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting Leadership: Oversee internal and external financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and organizational requirements.
  • Audit Management: Serve as the primary liaison to external auditors, coordinate audit activities, and support the successful completion of annual audits and related engagements.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage nonprofit tax reporting activities, including federal, state, and informational filings while coordinating with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Month-End Close Oversight: Lead month-end reporting activities, partner with accounting and finance teams, and ensure the integrity of financial close processes.
  • Controls & Policy Development: Maintain accounting policies, strengthen internal controls, identify process improvements, and support risk management initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with leadership and operational teams to support reporting requirements, regulatory compliance, financial analysis, and special projects.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, and a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Certification: Active CPA designation is required.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in financial reporting, external audit, tax compliance, or corporate accounting is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with nonprofit accounting, tax filings, audit coordination, and multi-entity accounting structures is required.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, accounting systems, and financial reporting tools is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, improve processes, and collaborate effectively across departments are required.
