FINANCIAL REPORTING MANAGER - CB & VR - FULL TIME - VARIED SHIFT

Job Summary

Provide leadership and coordination of company month end closing, balance sheet reconciliation process, budget variance analysis, and management training. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles, Nevada MICS, and relevant federal regulations.

Job Qualifications

• A strong background in automated accounting and control systems
• Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with querying or financial software (Infinium, Coupa, Blackline, Showcase, GL Infor, SQL, etc)
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks
• College degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or at least 2 years of accounting experience

Essential Job Functions

• Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger accounting team
• Manage the month end closing process and oversee the closing checklist, ensure accounts are reconciled in an accurate and timely manner
• Manage the preparation of the daily, monthly and annual financial reporting
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
• Hire, train, supervise, lead, develop, motivate, schedule, evaluate, coach, and discipline team members
• Provide support to management for accounting issues and concerns
• Prepare schedules requested for the preparation of tax returns
• Verify the accuracy of the data transmitted to the financial reporting systems
• Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management

Physical Demands

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
