Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Maintain and strengthen SOX compliance and internal control processes
- Partner with Finance, FP&A, Internal Audit, and business leaders across the organization
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes through automation and continuous improvement
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Mentor, coach, and develop accounting professionals while fostering a collaborative team environment
- Participate in special projects, system implementations, and strategic finance initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation strongly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience leading or supervising accounting teams
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls
- ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
Preferred Experience
- Fortune 500 or large corporate accounting environment
- Public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) experience
- Experience leading process improvement or automation initiatives
- Financial reporting and audit support experience
Pay
$90,000 - $115,000 per year
