About the role

The Manager of Financial Reporting will play a crucial role in CAA's Financial Reporting Team, supporting the Director of Financial Reporting. This role is based in Century City and is a hybrid position (3 days in-office).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly consolidation process, including calculation, review, and resolution of out-of-balance elimination entries.
  • Manage the monthly management reporting process, including preparation and review of revenue flash reports, management P&L, and supporting files.
  • Collaborate with general ledger accounting teams and financial reporting groups to identify and resolve discrepancies, especially within management EBITDA calculations.
  • Aid in the investment accounting process, including monthly preparation and posting of investment journal entries, and quarterly investment reconciliation/roll-forward analyses.
  • Support the lease accounting process, including lease evaluations, preparation of accounting schedules, and quarterly reconciliations.
  • Analyze specific fluctuations in monthly operating results and assist in quarterly consolidated fluctuation analyses and EBITDA bridge explanations.
  • Participate in the implementation of accounting and reporting systems, as well as ad hoc changes to the management reporting package.
  • Assist in the annual financial statement external audit process, focusing on the completeness of the bank listing.
  • Prepare annual audited financial statements and footnote disclosures, as well as bi-annual IFRS financial statements and disclosure schedules.
  • Assist with other ad hoc projects aimed at improving efficiency and conducting technical accounting analyses/valuations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years accounting/finance experience. CPA is preferred.
  • Experience with financial management software packages: MS Dynamics 365 (AX), SAP, Power BI, and Workiva.
  • Experience with international consolidations and technical accounting research.
  • Experience managing multiple reporting requirements (management vs. US GAAP vs. IFRS).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective cross-functional communication skills to collaborate with departments outside of accounting and teams across a global organization.
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills is a plus.
