Financial Reporting Analyst III
About the role
Yamaha Motor Finance Corporation (YMFC) is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst III to serve as a key resource for the global organization, providing financial oversight to ensure the integrity of financial records is complete, accurate, and compliant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role supports the global accounting team with budget management, regional trial balance (TB) support, and Yamaha Motor Corporation (YMC) monthly/quarterly reporting.
The position is based in Cypress, CA, with opportunities to engage with similar roles across other regions, including Canada, Australia, Brazil, France, and Colombia. The team operates on a hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, with flexible work hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead Global Accountant(s) with monthly/quarterly reporting to YMC, including preparing the FC Package, uploading workbooks into the FC portal, and uploading regional TBs to the Global Data Base (GDB).
- Champion the annual budgeting process: prepare templates for regions/YMFC, gather templates from regions/YMFC, upload spreadsheets into SAP/D365, consolidate regional data, and analyze output.
- Support Day 5 analysis of regional budget vs. actual performance (MTD and YTD).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance required; MBA or CPA a plus.
- 8+ years of accounting experience; financial services experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel or other data management resource knowledge required.
- Experience working with or within multinational companies is a plus.
- Excellent technical/data mining abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $90,000 – $110,000. Base pay is determined by job-related experience and is part of Yamaha’s Total Reward Program.
