Pay

Salary range: $6,938.53 - $9,713.60 per month

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely external financial reporting by independently completing financial statement support, regulatory reporting, audit activities, and related reporting requirements while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory guidance.
  • Perform specialized accounting and technical analyses by preparing CECL calculations, loan accounting activities, accounting research, and other complex accounting responsibilities while identifying issues and recommending appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Improve financial reporting processes by utilizing reporting technologies, enhancing documentation, identifying process improvements, and collaborating across the department to strengthen reporting efficiency and internal controls.
  • Support departmental or credit union-wide initiatives and projects by contributing as an effective project team member and completing all tasks and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Provide support across the Financial Reporting team through cross-training, knowledge sharing, and assisting with department responsibilities as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness in all aspects of financial reporting, accounting, and analytical work to support sound financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Represent the Financial Reporting department by providing timely, professional, and courteous service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory guidance, and tax requirements while identifying opportunities to improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an accounting or finance position, preferably in a financial institution or in a public accounting/auditing position.
  • Proven ability to work independently while demonstrating competency in communication and time management skills.

Skills

  • Expert knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Proven experience with report writing and/or database (SQL, data warehouse).

Physical Demands & Work Conditions

  • Must be able to regularly talk, hear, and operate a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Occasionally lift, pull/push, and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.
  • Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting.
  • Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
