Financial Reconciliations Specialist

About The Role
This person will reconcile trade activity and research discrepancies. The role is based in Kansas City, MO (hybrid) and requires working on-site at least 6 days per month during the hours of 8 AM – 5 PM Central Time.

Responsibilities
- Reconciliation, entering/releasing wires in various banking systems, and other team functions
- Quality control of incoming wires
- Serve as escalation point for more complex functions
- Follow workflow priorities and ensure all processing standards and client needs are met
- Perform quality checks by auditing work performed
- Develop and implement process improvements
- Document processes and procedures
- Train and guide associates within the direct team by sharing job knowledge and best practices
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in financial services, banking, reconciliation, or accounting
- Excel proficiency
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and ability to trace problems to their source and resolve them
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, takes ownership of issues, and recommends solutions
- Willingness to work on-site at least 6 days per month during the hours of 8 AM – 5 PM Central Time
