About the role
JFS Wealth Advisors is seeking a Financial Planning Associate to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to support advisors and clients, utilizing financial planning software and collaborating closely with wealth advisors.
Responsibilities
- Provide client relationship support for advisors.
- Interface with clients to provide exceptional service.
- Affirm that client plans are executed and modified as needed.
- Facilitate new clients onboarding and account opening/transfers.
- Interface with custodians.
- Complete administrative functions related to client’s account.
- Contribute to team effort.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Run reports and support Wealth Advisors as needed.
- Possess a working knowledge of JFS’ compliance and operational policies and procedures and abide by them while fulfilling this position’s responsibilities.
- Serve as backup for other Client Relationship Specialists.
- Updates Processes and Procedures as assigned.
- Assist with any fee items requiring attention as needed.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university with a major in Finance.
- Must be actively studying for the series 65 or CFP®.
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to analyze and interpret business journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Commitment to work toward CFP® registration and license.
- Valid driver’s license.
- The employee must maintain complete confidentiality regarding client names, financial information and all other matters.
- The position requires occasional overtime.
- Occasionally works at client locations which require the use of the incumbent’s own vehicle.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Lift up to 10 pounds as needed.
