Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst-USA-CRP
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Commission Analyst to manage the monthly commission accrual and payout processes. This role is ideal for a professional who values accuracy, consistency, and long-term process ownership. The analyst will ensure the timely, accurate, and compliant execution of commission calculations and reporting while providing Finance and Sales leadership with reliable data and insights.
Responsibilities
- Commission Accruals & Reporting
- Consolidate data from multiple systems to prepare accurate monthly commission accrual reports.
- Load, validate, and maintain commission accrual models in partnership with the Accounting team.
- Perform month-over-month variance analysis and identify key drivers, trends, and anomalies.
- Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve data or calculation issues.
- Commission Payouts
- Calculate monthly sales commission payouts in accordance with established compensation plans and performance data.
- Review and validate commission calculations for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Generate and distribute commission statements using automated tools and established processes.
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for commission calculations and payouts.
- Data Analysis & Business Support
- Provide ad hoc financial and operational analysis to Finance and Sales leadership.
- Support executive-level reporting, presentations, and analysis for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Sales leadership.
- Maintain detailed process documentation, controls, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor data integrity across systems, models, and reporting outputs.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of commission processes.
Requirements
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis, and macro automation.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, including Customer Engagement and Finance & Operations.
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong data validation and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage recurring monthly deadlines with accuracy and consistency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate and escalate issues.
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential compensation and financial information with discretion.
- Self-motivated and analytical, with the ability to independently manage established processes and resolve issues.
- Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment with a focus on long-term process ownership.
