About the role

Kestra Financial is seeking a Planning Analyst to join our Planning Group within the Wealth Management Division. This team provides centralized financial planning services for approximately 2,000 advisors nationally. The role serves as a consistent, high-quality planner, working within an established process to conduct orientation calls, gather and strategize client data, construct and present financial plans, and support advisor relationships. Analysts also contribute to intellectual capital, thought leadership, and serve as a key part of the planning brain trust for all Kestra firms.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow depth of knowledge within planning software technology and fintech planning concepts
  • Gather, organize, and develop client data within a financial planning context
  • Prepare client financial plans and presentations for review by Advisors
  • Manage data entry and presentation development for client meetings related to financial planning
  • Attend client meetings in a technical and supporting role
  • Analyze and provide research on planning industry trends, intellectual capital, and technological advances
  • Support advisor relationship management, including ongoing communication and contact
  • Track and cross-reference planning data through internal systems

Requirements

  • CFP Designation (Required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
  • 3-10 years’ experience in the finance industry (preferred)
  • Ability to operate efficiently while maintaining consistent client experience standards
  • Strong attention to detail, process-driven approach, and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute effectively
  • High self-awareness and teamwork orientation
  • Curiosity and desire for continuous learning
  • Ability to focus on micro-details while contributing to macro-environment goals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with ability to quickly learn new software
  • Experience working with eMoney and MoneyGuide

Qualifications

  • Series 7 license (preferred)
  • Series 65 license (preferred)
