Financial Planning & Analysis NAV Principal

About the role

This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within an Energy & Utilities environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the total Company NAV model for SJI
• Lead quarterly NAV update processes, coordinating inputs across departments
• Prepare strategic reporting for senior leadership and private equity sponsor
• Develop ad hoc valuation analyses to support strategic decision-making
• Analyze impact of capital structure and financing alternatives on valuation
• Translate regulatory changes into financial outcomes and valuation adjustments
• Evaluate commodity sensitivities affecting cash flows and strategic options

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 8 years of experience
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, including DCF and NAV
• Strong understanding of utility regulation and capital structure in energy infrastructure
• Ability to present complex analyses succinctly for executive audiences
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with BI tools is a plus

Pay

$139,125 – $222,600 annually
