Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst
About the role
The Financial Analyst will develop and manage division level budgets and forecasts, analyze financial information, and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Drives planning, budgeting, and forecasting process by partnering with business owners
- Supports monthly financial performance reporting and communications, including variance analysis, to functional and finance leaders
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to perform sophisticated, high-impact persuasive analysis that drives strategic decision-making
- Supports process improvement efforts to achieve operational efficiency
- Provides research and analytical support for projects and ad hoc requests
- Supports development of analysis and models, including key drivers that impact business outcomes
- Interprets financial and other data to deliver insights and support decision making for business partners
Qualifications
- 2+ years Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in financial planning & analysis
- Strong organizational/time management skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of ERP and Planning applications, such as Oracle/Hyperion, SAP, IBM/Cognos required (Oracle/Hyperion preferred)
- Understanding of basic accounting concepts and principles
- Able to effectively coordinate work and communicate across disparate groups of individuals, functions, and levels in the organization
- PC literacy required; Excellent MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Knowledge of health insurance industry desirable

Base Pay Information: The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade: 18. $56,900 - $119,200
