About the role
L2 Brands is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst who can transform raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain, focusing on forecasting demand, analyzing product margins, and monitoring key business metrics. It’s a dynamic position for someone who thrives on turning numbers into narratives that guide leadership’s next steps.
Responsibilities
- Build annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial models (revenue, COGS, opex, capex).
- Partner with production and supply chain teams on demand planning vs. manufacturing capacity.
- Own monthly and quarterly performance reporting, including variance analysis vs. budget and prior year.
- Analyze product-level profitability, including raw materials, labor efficiency, and decoration method costs.
- Track critical KPIs: gross margin %, inventory turns, order fill rate, and labor utilization.
- Present findings to leadership in clear, jargon-free ways that resonate.
- Evaluate capital investments, such as new decorating equipment or warehouse automation.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis for urgent business questions (e.g., “hey, can you pull some numbers on this?”).
- Collaborate with IT and Finance to improve system accuracy and data usability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus but not required).
- 3+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong grasp of cost accounting and inventory management concepts.
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience strongly preferred.
- Bonus points for experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to enhance efficiency.
- Ability to translate financial concepts into plain English for non-finance stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working across production, sales, and supply chain teams.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
