Financial Operations Specialist

About the role
This Financial Operations Specialist role is a unique and exciting opportunity to facilitate smooth B2B transactions in an industry-leading business model. You will work closely with the Supplier Success Team, Funding/Trading, Payment Operations, Technical/Engineering, Product Development, and Taulia Customers to ensure Taulia maintains and improves delivery of our services to both internal and external customers and partners.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with Suppliers, Buyers, and Finance Partners to resolve issues around early payments and payments, ensuring good internal/external communication and driving resolution.
- Collaborate with the Supplier Success and Sales team to ensure new Suppliers are onboarded seamlessly into our platform.
- Take ownership of issues that arise, maintain a queue, and own the issue until resolution.
- Engage in critical problem-solving when something doesn’t work—identify where/how it is broken and propose ideas/options for resolution.
- Think about the big picture—relate current issues to past system or process events (e.g., something that happened 3 months ago).
- Perform root-cause analysis on operational issues.
- Triage incoming issues and prioritize accordingly.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate complex findings and ideas in plain language.
- Ability to empathize with customers.
- Ability to change direction quickly, juggle time-sensitive priorities, and evaluate trade-offs.
- Enjoys discovering and solving problems.
- Good analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Resourceful and proactive about learning the role (not waiting for direction).
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a business-related field (preferred).
- Excel experience (e.g., Vlookup, Index Match, Pivot Tables).
- Experience in finance, financial services, accounting, trade finance, supply chain finance, payments, or FinTech.
- SAP or other ERP ecosystem experience.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
- SQL and relational database experience.
- Experience in customer service or client relationship management.
- Experience working within a global team.

Pay
The estimated annualized base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $75,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, depth of experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
