About the Role
This position reports to the Missile Defense Programs (MDP) Finance team in Huntsville, AL and supports a multitude of program finance functions, including:
- Proposal basis of estimate (BOE) writing and analysis
- External financials and funding tracking/reporting
- EVMS setup and management (COBRA Tool)
- Establishing and managing program management baselines
- Supporting the program EVMS business rhythm
- Supporting weekly/monthly financial reports and analysis
Proficiency in AI prompting as it applies to this position is required. An active Top Secret clearance is mandatory to start this position.
Responsibilities
- Performs financial analysis, establishes performance management budgeting, and forecasting activities, including variance analysis, trend identification, workforce planning drivers, risk and opportunities assessment, and development of mitigation plans.
- Integrates information from multiple financial systems, processes, and functions to consolidate data forensics into actionable business solution recommendations.
- Timely and accurately consolidates financial results (Orders, Sales, EBIT, Cash, ROIC, Overhead, Discretionary Funding) and monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting to internal and external customers, including government contractual cost and schedule earned value management reporting.
- Develops and utilizes forward-looking data analytics, visualization, and trend analysis to inform financial strategy and decision-making.
- Develops and provides actionable recommendations to key stakeholders to make sound financial and operating decisions.
- Maintains applicable internal and external (FAR, CAS, SEC, US GAAP) policy, procedure, and controls for compliance to support internal processes and external regulatory requirements.
- Provides subject matter expertise support to proposal development, basis of estimate, and negotiations as required.
- Experience with Earned Value techniques, labor charging, tracking, variance reporting, and EACs.
Requirements

- Financial analysis, EVM, cost management, budgeting, or related finance/business experience
- Active Top Secret clearance
Qualifications
- 8+ years of related finance experience, preferably with EVM
- Top Secret clearance with investigation or continuous vetting (CV) date within 5 years
Desired Skills
- Experience preparing and generating proposal basis of estimates (BOEs)
- Proficiency with COBRA, SAP, Hyperion (Oracle) / SmartView / Essbase financial reporting tools
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) standards, policies, procedures, and implementation as outlined in the Electronic Industries Alliance Standard-748 (EIA-748)
- Experience/proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, SAP BI/HANA, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify process improvements
- Quick learner with aptitude for systems and processes
- Proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Experience working in a team environment
- Previous experience with detailed analysis of data
- Ability to balance competing priorities in a high-pressure environment
Pay
Full-time salary ranges by GeoZone (geographic groupings based on regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences):
- GeoZone 1: $137,100.00 - $254,700.00 (e.g., Sunnyvale, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, NJ)
- GeoZone 2: $123,400.00 - $229,200.00 (e.g., Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT)
- GeoZone 3: $109,700.00 - $203,700.00 (e.g., Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Marietta, GA)
- GeoZone 4: $98,700.00 - $183,300.00 (e.g., Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL)
Salary is determined based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and market considerations.
