Financial Management Analyst, SYD 84
Description
The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) System Delta 84 (SYD 84) at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California is searching for a Financial Management Analyst (NH-0501-03, GS-12/13 equivalent).
The ideal candidate holds a Business- or Finance-related college degree and brings at least 3 years of relevant experience at the NH-02 or GS-12 equivalent level, though 5 to 10 years in acquisition financial management is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate should possess a DAWIA Practitioner Level Certification in Business or Cost Estimating, or an equivalent industry credential such as a CDFM-A, backed by a minimum of 5 years serving as a budget analyst across various ACAT programs.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong capability in formulating, justifying, and monitoring budgets by directly applying financial laws, regulations, and policies to budget presentation and execution.
We are looking for a seasoned professional with proven expertise navigating high-stakes programmatic challenges, including managing program breaches, drafting Congressional notifications, and engineering innovative funding solutions.

Requirements
- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- This position is part of the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
- The employee must meet or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d.
- Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.
- Bargaining Unit Status (BUS) Code Determination: AF 3660 – Inclusion in Bargaining Unit.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
- PCS is not authorized.
- Incentive is authorized.
