Financial Literacy Teacher (Upper School)

Overview

Morris Jeff Community School seeks Financial Literacy teachers who are committed to the mission and vision of the school, who will hold themselves and their students to high expectations for performance and achievement, and who will model unwavering professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree (or higher)
• Advanced degrees in education or teaching/content area preferred
• Louisiana teacher certification in area of teaching assignment
• Belief and commitment to the mission of Morris Jeff Community School
• Belief and determination to hold all students to high expectations for learning, working, and behaving
• Strong knowledge of best practices around teaching, managing, and assessing students from many diverse populations
• Ability to work with students who have many, varied learning styles and needs in a heterogeneous classroom setting where all students are held to the highest expectations and are supported when they struggle
• Ability to work with and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and business/community members
• Reflect on one's educational practice
