Financial Educator Remote
About the role
The role of a Remote Financial Educator at Ovation Fertility involves:
- Consulting with patients regarding their benefits, coverage, and financial options.
- Performing aspects of benefit verification and prior authorization.
- Providing ongoing financial education and assistance to patients throughout their care continuum, acting as an educator, advocate, and liaison.
- Maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal financial and insurance information.
Responsibilities
The Financial Educator will:
- Collaborate with more than 200 highly respected physicians nationwide.
- Partner with colleagues who are passionate about solving meaningful problems.
- Support the care experience by bringing together technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of medical business office experience, including working knowledge of healthcare billing and collections, insurance/benefits, and patient interaction.
- Experience reading and understanding payer remittance advice, including the ability to differentiate between allowed charges, contractual adjustments, line item denials/reasons, patient responsibility (co-pay, co-insurance, and deductibles), etc.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience working in an OB/GYN office is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, managers, patients, and insurance companies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, independent worker, detailed-oriented, computer savvy.
- Proficient with Microsoft programs, specifically Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A high level of customer service essential.

Opportunity Overview
This is an immediate opening for a Remote Financial Educator at Ovation Fertility. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern Time. The compensation is $23.00 to 27.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).
