Financial Data Analyst - Chicago or Decatur, IL. or Erlanger, KY.
This position is open in Chicago or Decatur, IL, or Erlanger, KY, and reports to the FP&A Manager.
About the role
The Financial Data Analyst will lead and manage data analytics for Corporate FP&A processes, including cost analysis, benchmarking, data modeling, annual and monthly cycles, developing plans and forecasts, analyzing actual results, and formulating recommendations for remedial actions. This role also assists with other projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Create and maintain FP&A dashboards in PowerBI that track KPIs and other financial metrics.
- Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for management, providing insightful commentary on financial and non-financial metrics.
- Monitor financial performance in real-time.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing financial analysis and insights.
- Use financial analysis to advise management on performance improvement and risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Experience in the food and agricultural commodities space preferred.
- Proficiency in using queries, Power BI, Essbase, Hyperion, Oracle, or similar systems.
- High proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical abilities, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.

Pay
The pay range for this salaried position is $91,500.00 - $147,100.00. Base pay may vary depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime for qualifying hours.
