Day in the Life

In this role, you’ll review transactions, spot unusual patterns, and collaborate with teammates across the business. You’ll dig into details, ask insightful questions, and help ensure Triumph maintains the highest standards of compliance and customer protection. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to grow your investigative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing negotiable instruments and monitoring transactions for trends or unusual activity
  • Investigating customer behavior and financial patterns to determine if further action is needed
  • Supporting sanctions monitoring and completing assigned referrals
  • Drafting clear, accurate reports and narratives for potential suspicious activity
  • Completing Enhanced Due Diligence reviews, including transactional analysis and negative news searches
  • Updating customer risk scores and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Partnering with teams across the business to understand customer relationships and support risk mitigation
  • Participating in audits, reviews, and internal meetings to improve processes and efficiency
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial crime risks and industry standards
  • Upholding strict confidentiality with all customer information

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in banking, investigations, or a related field
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Comfortable multitasking and managing deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and within a team
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with Windows-based systems, spreadsheets, databases, and online research
  • Ability to analyze financial transactions and identify trends
  • Basic understanding of banking principles and operations
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and adapt to change
