Financial Credit Analyst

About the role

Cognitive Credit is hiring a Financial Credit Analyst based in the United States to contribute to building our US credit data set. Reporting to the Head of US Data in New York, NY, this role seeks candidates with a passion for innovation and a strong background in accounting or finance.

Responsibilities

• Process financial reports using Cognitive Credit's proprietary data extraction system
• Analyze resulting output for accuracy and completeness using internal audit tools
• Maintain coverage universes for live data updates during corporate earnings season
• Interact with clients to provide data and product support
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve system performance and tool development
• Discuss product priorities and strategic objectives with senior management

Requirements

• Accounting and finance qualifications from a Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent
• US GAAP experience, with IFRS experience being useful
• Strong academic background in accounting and finance
• Excellent Excel skills and data management experience
• Passion for technology and willingness to learn new tools
• Fluent in English and eligible to work in the US
