Financial Counselor I - 3rd Shift

About the role

As a Financial Counselor I, you will serve patients in the Emergency Department, providing financial counseling and insurance-related support in a fast-paced, overnight setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with financial counseling and insurance-related questions
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility information
• Explain billing procedures and payment options clearly and professionally
• Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced emergency department setting
• Support patient registration and financial clearance processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Help create a positive patient experience during every interaction

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a financial, business office, healthcare registration, or customer service environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• At least one (1) year of PC/Windows experience
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills

Schedule

• Variable Full-Time, Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts)
• Includes weekends and holidays
