Financial Counselor- FT|Temple Main| Rotating Weekends

Responsibilities

Provides financial, credit, debt management counseling and education services to patients. Utilizes alternative means for obtaining coverage for uninsured or underinsured patients. Responsible for performing complex insurance verification and eligibility determinations as well as varied administrative and highly responsible clerical functions of a sensitive nature, including complex investigative and problem-solving activities in support of minimizing the hospital's bad debt risk.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• 2 years experience as a financial counselor or related role in a healthcare environment required
• 5 years experience in a clerical role required
• Experience and knowledge of hospital registration and third party billing and regulations required
• Bilingual Spanish and English communication preferred

Schedule

Full-time, day shift; 40 hours per week. Location: 3401 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.
