Job Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to explain insurance benefits, estimated out-of-pocket costs, and payment options
• Verify insurance coverage, benefits, deductibles, co-pays, authorizations, and pre-certifications
• Calculate patient financial responsibility for scheduled procedures
• Aid patients with payment arrangements and answer billing-related questions
• Cookordinate with insurance companies to resolve benefit and billing issues
• Maintain accurate patient financial records and documentation
• Perform quality checks to ensure financial information is complete and accurate before services are rendered
• Support front office and business office operations as needed
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Job Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• An associate degree in Medical Billing or a related field is preferred, or equivalent healthcare business office experience.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, medical terminology, and healthcare billing is preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism is essential.
