Operational Finance Controller (100% Remote, US) About Acquisition Lab OperateAcquisition Lab Operate is the shared services team of Acquisition Lab, a platform that supports entrepreneurs acquiring and operating profitable small businesses across the US. We partner with operators running companies with $1-2M in EBITDA, providing the financial infrastructure, reporting, and operational support they need to focus on growth. Our model pairs US-based Controllers, who own each client relationship, with a skilled, English-speaking finance team in Latin America that executes core finance functions across multiple companies. The RoleThis is a 100% remote role, open to candidates anywhere in the US. As an Operational Finance Controller, you will lead the finance function for a portfolio of US-based small businesses. This is a hands-on controller role, not pure FP&A. You are accountable for accounting operations, AR/AP oversight, reporting, and cash management, and cash forecasting is a core requirement: an initial 13-week cash flow forecast is built for each client, and you maintain and update it, using it to advise operators. Your Latin America-based team prepares much of the day-to-day work, and you review, approve, and deliver it. You will be the primary contact for acquisition entrepreneurs, helping them understand their numbers and run their businesses better.
