About the role
The Financial Consultant role at Marsh McLennan Agency’s East Region focuses on providing financial analysis and risk management support to internal sales teams and consulting clients. This includes performing financial and risk analysis, conducting due diligence projects, assisting with program implementations, and evaluating alternative coverage and plan design options.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and risk analysis support for internal sales teams and consulting clients
- Conduct employee benefit due diligence projects for clients and portfolio companies
- Aid account teams with coordination and implementation of employee benefit programs for carve-out transactions
- Provide the definition of clients' employee contribution modeling and strategies
- Evaluate, determine, and recommend alternative coverage, pricing options, and plan design changes based on economic analysis
- Perform various reporting for plan change evaluations, budget and reserve calculations, and ongoing reviews
- Participate in prospective client data analysis and presentations
- Maintain quality service standards and organization to ensure timely service to the MMA East team
- Research and stay informed about the dynamic insurance environment, new projects, and changing legislation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Actuary, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Benefits Brokerage, Consulting, or Insurance industry
- Intermediate working knowledge of MS Excel (ability to perform pivot tables, macros, and intermediate formulas)
- Effective analytical, math, and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, strong decision-making ability, and excellent communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to translate big picture ideas into client objectives

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $64,700 to $120,400. Performance-based incentives may also be offered.
Schedule
This role is typically performed in a hybrid manner based out of the Conshohocken, PA office.
