You are a vital member of our employee channel phone-based team who is passionate about providing financial education, guidance, and fundamental solutions to our existing IRA customers, referrals from other service centers, and helping customers make informed decisions about their existing retirement accounts.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound calls, assess customer needs, and guide clients to make informed investment decisions.
- Quickly analyze and assess the unique needs of the customer and present options to address those needs.
- Be consultative and provide education to deliver high-quality service and uncover additional assets to deepen client relationships.
- Work in a team structure and refer customers who require more sophisticated advice to more senior advisors on the team when appropriate.
- Stay informed of market trends, retirement regulations, and economic indicators to provide sound guidance.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the diverse range of John Hancock Wealth offerings and solutions available to customers.
- Assist customers with questions about their accounts and investments, including asset movement, trading, and day-to-day service inquiries.
- Deliver outstanding customer experience in a professional manner while assisting clients in their decision-making process.
- Achieve monthly productivity targets, including acting on sales lead opportunities.
- Participate in training and coaching development programs crafted to improve skills and provide opportunities for advancement.
- Share successful customer engagement experiences and ideas for improvement in a team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of Financial Services experience, preferably in phone and/or sales roles.
- FINRA SIE, Series 6, and Series 63 required; Series 65 required within 6 months of hire date.

Pay
If you are applying to this role in Massachusetts, the salary range is $40,000.00 - $66,700.00 USD. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
