Financial Comptroller
Summary
As the largest pediatric clinic in Jacksonville, serving 10 locations with nearly 45,000 patients, Angel Kids Pediatrics is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We seek a full-time Financial Controller to join our team in Jacksonville. Remote opportunities are available.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyzes and forecasts revenue and expenditure trends.
- Analyzes expenditures against budget projections and revenues to monitor fiscal performance.
- Prepares various financial reports for both internal use and as required for external purposes.
- Maintains various financial databases and records for reporting of financial data.
- Develops plans for the company’s financial growth.
- Manages the company’s accounts and employees.
- Develops budgetary needs of existing and new activities, including analysis and projections of appropriations and limitations.
- Examines historical and projected financial data to provide management with valuable data upon which to make relevant financial decisions.
- Evaluates and manages financial risk.
- Prepares income statements.
- Provides financial training to employees when needed.
- Makes written reports and analyses to management setting for progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
- Prepares and coordinates distribution of various financial reports and analyses for management and external agencies.
- Prepares federal, state and other regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with established guidelines, as assigned.
- Prepares financial transactions and/or reports for assigned department(s)/business cycle.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations related to the healthcare industry.
- Experienced in Nonprofit financial and grant management.
- Experienced in grant financial reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage through influence and collaboration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (I.e.: Quickbooks, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Researching and recommending costsaving strategies.
- Experience with spreadsheet and financial analysis software.
- Attention to detail coupled with patience and tenacity.
- Understanding of taxation, payroll and other fiscal aspects of a business.

Education and Experience
- At least 2 years of Accounting and QuickBooks required.
- At least a 2 year degree in Accounting or similar major (Bachelor's Preferred).
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
- Two (2) years developing and maintaining budgets for non-profit organizations.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional medical office environment. This job also operates in a fast-paced, highly customer service environment, working with children and families/guardians. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops and smartphones as well as medical equipment. Physical demands while performing the duties and responsibilities of office manager include standing, walking, or sitting for long hours. The employee must be able to occasionally move or lift at least 20 lbs. The employee must be able to communicate efficiently in front of large or small crowds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. This is an onsite position with opportunity to be remote.
