Responsibilities
- Complete insurance verification at both the eligibility and benefit level.
- Assess, review, and determine insurance coverage and requirements for visits and diagnostic testing.
- Serve as the bridge between clinical and revenue cycle business areas by obtaining all required referrals and authorizations prior to visits or testing.
- Ensure payment is received in a timely fashion to reduce financial risk to the organization.
- Work closely with departmental leaders and staff to obtain all clinical data required for authorization of services rendered, both pre- and post-op procedures.
- Assure the financial stability of the program.
- Contact patient/caregiver to confirm insurance coverage or advise of any financial obligation, meeting NSA guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred).
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of Healthcare Revenue Cycle Insurance experience (insurance verification preferred).
- Knowledge of ICD-10 codes.

The compensation range for this role is $25.18 - $25.93 hourly. Several factors may be considered when determining compensation, including location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity.
Schedule

- May be subject to irregular hours, including evenings or potentially weekends, to participate in operational and community events as necessary.
