About the role

The Financial Center Manager II will be responsible for the achievement of specified banking center and staff performance goals, including ongoing profitability, deposit and loan growth, and fee income. This role focuses on building, developing, and leading a team to provide clients with an exceptional experience by presenting financial solutions tailored to their needs. The FCM drives new client acquisition, retention, and growth of client relationships while fostering strong internal partnerships to meet client needs and contribute to market growth. The role also emphasizes creating a team-oriented environment, fostering associate satisfaction through coaching and career development, and maintaining strong community alliances.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve specified banking center team service levels and performance goals.
  • Model First Financial’s Mission and Values for peers and coworkers.
  • Maintain a banking center environment committed to exceptional client experience to foster loyalty and relationship development.
  • Ensure banking center performance goals are met or exceeded, supporting overall District and Region goals.
  • Foster an inclusive, team-oriented environment with strong communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and lead a team knowledgeable in bank products, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage daily operations, audit scores, and sales execution for banking center success.
  • Open deposit accounts, accept and key loan applications, close loans, and coach the team on growing accounts, loans, and deposits (both consumer and business).
  • Actively manage onboarding of new clients and ensure timely follow-up calls.
  • Manage overall financial center sales and performance, understanding its impact on the District and company.
  • Engage in coaching, recognition, and progress updates for team members.
  • Develop strong business relationships with key partners (e.g., Business Specialists, Wealth Advisors, Mortgage Loan Officers) to deepen client relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Integrate into the community, developing outside sales opportunities through active participation in community groups and events.
  • Align daily activities with The First Financial Bank Experience (FFB Experience), including delivering quality client experiences, deepening client relationships, and leading team huddles.
  • Attract and support new associates who align with the company culture and assist with interviewing prospective candidates.
  • Ensure all associates actively manage their client relationships and develop them through observational coaching and joint sales calls.
  • Maintain operational and risk management standards, including compliance with BSA, Check 21, CIP, CRA, HMDA, Reg B, Reg D, Reg E, Reg CC, Truth in Savings, Privacy Compliance, and the Patriot Act.
  • Act as a liaison between peers, the District Leader, and Retail Regional President to support retail-wide initiatives and communication.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of demonstrated leadership in coaching, management, or mentoring in a retail environment.
  • 2-4 years of prior success with multiple sales leadership processes and execution.
  • 2-4 years of personal experience in sales and service with proven success in achieving sales and service goals.
  • 2-4 years of demonstrated success in achieving performance goals.
  • Working knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent banking work experience preferred.
  • 2-4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

$52,000 - $67,000/annually
