Financial Center Banker - Arlington Location
About the role
EECU is seeking an experienced and motivated Financial Center Consultant II to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted financial resource for our members, providing personalized solutions that support their unique needs. As a key point of contact within the financial center, you will build strong relationships, identify opportunities to recommend products and services, and assist members with opening new accounts and consumer loan solutions.
You will conduct consultative selling sessions, perform financial profiles on members to ascertain relationship expansion opportunities, and utilize indirect cross-selling reports and internal opportunity reports as provided by management. This position primarily performs platform functions, including opening new accounts and loan production.

Responsibilities
- Perform consultative selling and financial profiles to identify relationship expansion opportunities.
- Open new accounts and process loan production.
- Provide a complete service and sales experience for members, resulting in exceeding monthly sales goals.
- Perform a broad variety of member service functions, such as opening business and consumer loans/accounts, resolving operational issues, and handling teller functions.
- Proactively initiate and support marketing initiatives within the branch.
- Build exceptional rapport with members while providing excellence in service.
- Cover lobby duties, including acting as a concierge, greeting members, answering calls, and directing members to appropriate employees.
- Comply with all Federal and State rules and regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Reg Z, Reg B, FCRA/FACTA, and Service Members Civil Relief.
- Attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
Requirements
- One-year minimum experience in a retail or financial environment requiring excellence in service and rapport-building with members/customers.
- Retail operations knowledge, including platform and teller operations, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for comfortable and free conversation in all member interactions.
- Enthusiasm, professionalism, and a high level of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks daily.
- Strong listening skills, approachability, problem-solving, and empathy.
- Relevant computer skills, solid math, and written communication skills.
- College degree preferred.
- Good credit history (applicants will be evaluated in compliance with applicable laws).
Skills
- Proven goal achievement in loan production.
- Cross-selling and referral skills strongly preferred.
- Ability to deliver great member experiences in a high-interaction environment.
Schedule
Available during the hours of 8:30 AM – 6:15 PM Monday – Friday and 8:45 AM – 1:15 PM Saturdays.
