Responsibilities
- Serves as front-line support for Patient Financial Care within Piedmont.
- Handles and resolves in-person, telephonic, or digital customer inquiries and/or concerns by providing patients/guarantors from both hospitals and physician practices with a consistent and seamless experience.
- Follows up on and collects pre-service, at-service, or outstanding guarantor balances when required.
- Provides information on estimated cost of services, verifies coverage, secures authorization, makes appointments, and explains insurance benefits and information on financial resources to patients/guarantors.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 2 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience Required
- 5 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience with a focus in Financial Counseling Preferred
Skills
- Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association Preferred
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Preferred
