Financial Budget Analyst
This position supports all aspects of the budget process, including planning, development, analysis, and reporting of the Company’s financials to various stakeholders across the company.
Responsibilities
- Development of the company’s annual budget
- Provide support and analysis to various stakeholders, including business units, financial planning, accounting, regulatory, and other areas as needed
- Partner directly with business units to understand financial needs, provide budget guidance, and support sound business decision-making
- Help to identify financial issues and business risks
- Participate in company and system teams as needed to support initiatives and issues related to budget functions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
- Travel within the MPC service territory and as needed, within the Southern Company system
- In-person meetings with business unit customers
Skills
