Financial Automation Analyst - Corporate Accounting & Finance (Kansas City)

About the role

The Automation Analyst will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and scaling intelligent automation solutions that enhance financial processes at Burns & McDonnell.

Responsibilities

• Identify and map out inefficient processes within finance and business operations.
• Translate identified inefficiencies into scalable automation solutions.
• Collaborate with Finance subject matter experts, business leaders, and technology teams to drive strategic decisions.
• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions within the Corporate Accounting and Finance Department.
• Support full lifecycle implementation of RPA projects and production deployment.
• Contribute to the technical design and implementation of automation solutions across projects and systems.
• Integrate data across enterprise systems, including ERP platforms, databases, and cloud platforms to enable end-to-end automation.
• Support business users through the testing and training process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum four (4) years' experience in a related field required.
• Dual major with Accounting preferred.
• UiPath experience preferred.
• Aceryx experience preferred.
• Experience implementing RPA solutions, preferred.
• Solid background in business analysis experience within applications.
• Great interpersonal skills.
• Great written and oral communication skills.
• Ambition for process improvement.
• Self-motivator.
• Ability to work as a team and independently.
• Entry level or higher proficiency with Python, SQL, VB.Net and/or C# programming languages is a significant asset.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, is preferred.

Qualifications
