Senior Financial Analyst - Business Process & Automation
About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst – Business Process & Automation is a highly visible, cross-functional role that partners with all functions of ifm. The primary focus of this role is business process improvement, automation, and special projects: discovering and redesigning processes across the organization, implementing automation and AI-enabled solutions, and delivering the project-based commercial analysis that turns those initiatives into measurable business results. This role reports directly to the CFO/COO of the organization, reflecting its intentional focus on enterprise-wide project prioritization, cross-functional alignment, and execution against the annual operating plan. The successful candidate pairs a data-driven mentality with genuine curiosity about how the business runs beyond their function. They are self-motivated, comfortable being given systems access and the time to explore, and understand that timely, effective service to internal and external business partners is central to the role.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process, Automation & AI Enablement (Primary Focus)
- Conduct end-to-end process discovery across all areas of the organization to identify inefficiencies, rework, control gaps, and automation potential
- Design, document, and govern standardized Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) process models that align business and IT
- Design and implement automation solutions, including workflow automation across CRM, ERP, and collaboration platforms
- Develop and evolve AI-enabled use cases for go-to-market and operations
- Build business cases and ROI analyses for automation and digital initiatives, and proactively evaluate emerging AI, automation, and low-code technologies
- Lead or co-lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives from scoping through implementation and measurement
Commercial Analysis & Special Projects
- Deliver project-based analysis across all areas of the that grow margin and control costs wisely
- Build business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives, investments, and process changes
- Provide financial oversight and reporting for capital projects, including field office facility improvement initiatives
- Administer lease management for ifm facilities, including lease administration, and support lease negotiations and renewals in partnership with Finance and Sales
Analytics, Dashboards & Systems Stewardship
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for management and process owners. Extract, query, and analyze data from SAP, Salesforce, and other operational systems
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting on KPIs, SLAs, workload, cycle time, service levels, and customer impact
- Build analytical models supporting capacity planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement
- Act as SME / key user for Salesforce, SAP, and Microsoft M365 tools (Power Automate, Power BI, Excel, Copilot)
- Ensure data quality, governance, and process compliance across systems
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related analytical field
- 5+ years of experience in operations analysis, business analytics, or digital transformation, preferably in a global or large-scale organization
- Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical problem-solving skills with a structured, solution-oriented mindset
- Self-motivated, able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong sense of internal customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with SAP or another ERP system, and with Power BI, Tableau, or a comparable data visualization tool
Preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform
- Practical experience with BPMN, Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable process methodologies
- Hands-on experience with RPA, workflow automation, or low-code platforms; exposure to AI, copilots, or chatbot solutions
