Qualifications
- Maintain ongoing communication with Lead Case Manager, Lead Outreach and Intake Specialist, Financial Assistance Associate, and Program Manager.
- Conduct periodic peer to peer Quality Assurance audit of Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) to include, check register, TFA logs, client files, HMIS and make necessary corrections to ensure SSVF Program is within compliance.
- Maintain accurate checkbook balance at all times.
- Forward all credit card receipts and appropriate forms to the accounting department promptly.
- Keep detailed records of payments made.
- Update client case file appropriately and enter information into HMIS database.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Cook up and process Temporary Financial Assistance payments to third party providers for approved expenses as part of the client’s service plan;
- Confirm receipt of payments;
- Submit TFA to Financial Assistance and Quality Assurance Coordinator on a weekly basis.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent reading and writing skills.
- Associate’s degree in accounting preferred.
- 6+ months experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and/or auditing, 1 year preferred;
- 6+ months experience in a heavy customer service focused environment; 1 year preferred.
- Experience with HMIS and VA Repository a plus.
- Experience in a social service environment a plus.
