About the role
Provide financial application support to the overall Finance organization, identifying root causes of Finance-related incidents and carrying out process improvements and break fixes. Serve as the primary resolution point for all issues regarding assigned applications, including support and administration of Workday Financials, configuring business process workflows, system notifications, underlying system reports, and modules for General Accounting, Business Assets, Projects, Grants, Gifts, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting.
Provide cross-functional understanding of financial data and its intersections across the assigned application platform/ecosystem, including healthcare and research accounting. Oversee internal roadmap and project management for upcoming application deliverables. Collaborate with technology and security teams to review system upgrades and release notes, assessing impact on existing processes. Develop and perform regression testing scenarios to demonstrate system effectiveness and recommend future enhancements to improve the platform and user experience.
Lead and support the review and documentation of new and revised report requirements and implementation plans. Provide technical guidance on reports and dashboards to business and technical teams. Design, develop, configure, and test simple to complex reports (advanced, matrix, composite) and dashboards using Workday Report Writing, including complex calculated fields.
May work remotely. Drug screen and background check required.
Responsibilities
- Support and administer Workday Financials, including configuration of business process workflows and system notifications.
- Manage modules for General Accounting, Business Assets, Projects, Grants, Gifts, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting.
- Analyze financial data intersections and dependencies across the application ecosystem, including healthcare and research accounting.
- Oversee project management and execution of application deliverables.
- Collaborate with technology and security teams to assess system upgrades and release notes.
- Develop and execute regression testing scenarios.
- Recommend enhancements to improve platform functionality and user experience.
- Review and document new and revised report requirements and implementation plans.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems, Finance, or a related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis/design.
- 4 years of experience with each: support and administration of Workday Financials; Workday Report Writing including complex calculated fields.
- Experience working with payroll, general ledger, budgeting, and financial accounting concepts.
- Healthcare and/or research accounting experience.
- Related project management experience.
- Proficiency in Workday: HCM, Finance, SCM, Reporting, Studio.
Pay
