Financial Analyst (Strategic Finance)
SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Analyst partners with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to support data-driven strategic and financial decision-making. This role plays a key part in driving operational efficiency and revenue growth through financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical insights.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform financial analysis and reporting to support strategic initiatives within the Ophthalmology business unit
Develop, maintain, and enhance budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans using forward-looking financial models
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and performance drivers, translating findings into actionable recommendations
Review monthly KPIs and financial results versus forecast, delivering detailed variance analysis and insights
Partner with accounting to interpret financial results and connect outcomes to underlying business performance
Support monthly business unit review presentations, clearly communicating financial insights to senior leadership
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis related to the ophthalmology segment, including de novo initiatives, refinancing scenarios, and strategic modeling
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to execute with precision, polish and persistence
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including comfort with large datasets
Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation—capable of simplifying complex analyses
Experience in healthcare services or multi-site operations
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Healthcare Management, or related field
Advanced degree preferred: MHA, MBA, etc.
1+ years of work experience in healthcare consulting, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, or operations analytics
