About the role
In this role you will perform a variety of financial tasks for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program at its Cape Canaveral, Florida location. Offices are located in Government provided facilities aboard the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Responsibilities
- Extract, analyze, and compile data for monthly variance reporting of contracts; identify schedule and cost variances and provide written and verbal explanations in accordance with strict deadlines.
- Consolidate information from financial systems into actionable business solution recommendations for key stakeholders.
- Participate in weekly meetings and interface directly with Management to ascertain variance causes, corrective actions, and estimated recovery dates.
- Maintain detailed spreadsheets to track costs for various supporting areas of the FBM contract.
- Work with various data systems to support contract proposals for new and existing efforts, and respond to ad hoc requests for cost estimates.
- Assist managers in development of staffing plans and forecasts and monitoring of weekly labor charges.
- Analyze actual headcount and cost.
- Provide guidance to Control Account Managers, including trend identification and risk/opportunities assessments.
- Present data in a business review format to Lockheed Martin Senior Management.
- Utilize AI prompting as it applies to the position.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (minimum).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent years of combined education/experience, or experience in lieu of degree.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience managing and analyzing large budgets or related finance skills.
- High analytical ability and accuracy with numerical data.
- Must be able to obtain or already have a Secret security clearance.
- US citizenship is required.
Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior Earned Value Management (EVM) or Program Performance Management experience.
- Experience with SAP, Cobra, and Tableau.
- Previous experience with Government/DoD contracts.
- Demonstrated success in team-based environments.
- Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment under minimal supervision.
- Experience with detailed analysis of large datasets and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organization, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $72,500.00 – $134,600.00
The salary range is a general guideline; Lockheed Martin considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market considerations when extending an offer.
