Financial Analyst Sr

Location: Saint Paul, MN • Duration: 8 Months • 100% Onsite

Responsibilities

• Review and analysis of assigned projects, including:
  • Financial statements analysis
  • Preparation, review, and analysis of requests for capital expenditures and Purchase Orders
  • Pricing analysis
  • Gross Margin/COGS Analysis
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations/Cash Flow Analysis
  • Support inventory valuation, cycle count programs, and physical inventories
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and partner with operations to resolve issues
  • Journal Entry and monthly accrual Preparation
  • Resource Allocation/Headcount Planning and Spend forecasting
  • Supply Chain/Inventory Analytics
• Apply educational and advanced knowledge of accounting and financial principles to support business needs.
• Operate independently under general management direction; work is reviewed to determine if desired results and objectives have been achieved.
• Maintain controls to ensure integrity of assets and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, guidelines, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance around balance sheet reconciliations and work with both internal and external audit requests.
• Handle varied and complex projects; develop solutions using innovative thinking and established precedents.
• Plan and lead projects, analyze results, and present recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or financial analysis.
• Experience supporting monthly close, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with standard costing environments.
• ERP system experience (EPICOR or SAP).
• Knowledge of inventory controls and manufacturing accounting.
