About The Role

The Subsplash Finance team is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our growing organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Finance, you will play a vital role in supporting the company’s continued growth through financial planning, analysis, and modeling. Your expertise will help interpret past performance data and inform strategic decision-making to drive future success. Key responsibilities include assisting with monthly financial statement variance analyses, contributing to rolling forecasts, and supporting the development of annual operating plans and long-term projections. You will analyze critical SaaS metrics such as ARR, churn, and retention to support accurate forecasting and reporting. Additionally, you will be responsible for calculating incentive compensation, executing month- and quarter-end close activities, and preparing comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure data integrity and the implementation of process improvements, including leveraging AI tools to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field, preferably in accounting or finance
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of GAAP and financial statements
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ownership over work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret financial data and tell a compelling story around business metrics
  • Curiosity and initiative to independently solve problems
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional finance designation such as CPA or MBA
  • Experience working within SaaS and/or startup environments, with an understanding of ARR and SaaS unit economics
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Netsuite, Aleph, or similar software platforms
  • Experience utilizing AI tools for workflow automation (e.g., Claude Cowork)
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and sensitivity analysis
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Aid in monthly financial statement variance analyses comparing actual results to budgets, forecasts, and historical trends
  • Contribute to the company’s rolling forecasts, annual operating plan, and long-range projections
  • Analyze and report on key SaaS metrics such as ARR, churn, and retention to support forecasting and strategic planning
  • Calculate incentive compensation, including commissions and sales bonuses, and identify opportunities to streamline processes
  • Execute month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data integrity controls and system alignment
  • Identify and execute process improvements, including leveraging AI to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
  • Support ad hoc financial analyses and special projects to inform strategic decision-making
