Financial Analyst - Remote US
About the role
The Financial Analyst will support Research Operations from a financial point-of-view with accurate analyses, effective reporting, financial processes such as budgeting and forecasting, and insightful financial advice. This position will be remote with one-day per month onsite at our Corporate HQ in Nashville; candidates should be located in close proximity to the greater Nashville, TN metro area.
Responsibilities
- Developing departmental budgets along with appropriate variances analyses using historical data
- Analyzing variances to standard and historical trends
- Developing forecasting models
- Preparing the Monthly Operating Report for executive management supported by the appropriate data
- Interpreting contract language and independently building financial models that conform to agreement details
- Completing financial analyses that accurately reflect business health
- Designing reports that communicate performance, identify issues, and contribute to better management decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
- 3+ years' work experience in a similar role in the healthcare, clinical research, or pharmaceutical industries
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of financial concepts and accounting concepts
- Knowledge of business models related to health care research
- Knowledge of performance metrics for medical research
- Knowledge of statistical principles, calculations, and applications

Pay
This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
