Financial Analyst (PPB&E)
Apogee has an exciting new opportunity to support Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF/A10) as a Financial Analyst (PPB&E). In this role, you will provide comprehensive program and budget analysis support throughout all phases of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) cycle, assisting in the development and advocacy of programmatic positions, analyzing fiscal data, preparing funding documents, and reporting on financial execution to support all DAF/A10 mission requirements. This position is full-time and on-site at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, contingent upon contract award.
About the Role
The HAF/A10 contract delivers technical, analytical, operational, programmatic, and planning subject-matter expertise to HAF/A10 and its component divisions to advance national security strategic plans, policies, concepts, and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide Program and Budget Formulation Support:
- Analyze strategic planning documents (e.g., DPG) and assist Program Element Monitors (PEMs) in developing annual financial plans (FINPLANs) and out-year programming requirements.
- Draft and prepare programmatic budgeting materials for use in decision processes and in response to inquiries from Congress, DoD, and other agencies.
- Produce analysis reports on planning documents.
- Draft Financial Plans (FINPLANs) for government review.
- Draft programmatic and budget justification materials (e.g., presentations, staffing papers).
- Provide Budget Execution and Financial Analysis Support:
- Assist Resource Advisors (RAs) in the preparation and processing of funding documents.
- Analyze financial data daily for accuracy, including commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
- Monitor execution of funds distributed to the field.
- Draft funding documents (e.g., MIPRs, AF Form 9s, MORDs).
- Provide a Monthly Budget Execution Report detailing the status of all accounts, justifications for changes, and overall financial position.
- Support PPBE-related meetings and Forums:
- Attend designated program review meetings to document requirements and identify implications for the PPBE process.
- Prepare Post-Meeting Reports detailing findings and formal recommendations for government consideration.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI level clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) and Special Access Required (SAR) program eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including five (5) years of DoD experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including five (5) years of DoD experience.

Pay
USD $100,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 per year.
