About the Role
The Financial Analyst, Operations is a key business partner to the operations team located in Sharonville, Ohio, supporting flavors sites in Montreal, Bremen, Sharonville, Valencia, and Linden. This position supports the Finance Manager in the review and monitoring of all inventory activities and production activities for product costing at the manufacturing facilities, focusing on financial impacts to the Company.
Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of product costing, including new raw material commercialization, preparing standard costs for bulk/finished goods, and quarterly updates of standard costs for existing materials.
- Perform overhead analysis by material, including cost of manufacture changes and validation of operational times for each routing group and its impact on absorption rates.
- Manage the obsolete inventory process across sites, including preparing reports, running bi-weekly meetings, and following up on open action items.
- Support inventory management and control functions, identifying and resolving inventory-related issues through data analysis and problem-solving.
- Prepare, coordinate, and report monthly Operations KPIs, measuring performance against targets and providing variance commentary.
- Perform the monthly financial operations close and reporting cycle, including manufacturing labor and overhead variances, and production reports with overhead analysis.
- Support operational financial and accounting aspects, including annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for flavors plants.
- Coordinate with operations team members to determine direct and indirect headcount requirements and non-labor overhead costs.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with production, quality, R&D, supply chain, and other support departments by providing timely analytical support and data.
- Support the integration of other flavors plants to SAP and company reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly change priorities and handle competing demands.
- Extreme accuracy and attention to detail in performing tasks and cross-checking work.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated precision.
