The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in a wide range of FP&A activities and data-driven analytics that support OC Sports & Entertainment. This position will play a significant role in the timely delivery and presentation of the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and monthly reporting and variance analysis.
- Create, manage, and maintain complex financial planning models to support the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-term planning.
- Analyze actual results against budget and forecast, research variances, and communicate findings.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for leadership and business operators.
- Collaborate with leadership and operators to align financial plans with operational goals.
- Work with large data sets to answer critical questions and provide insights through key performance indicators.
- Engage in ad hoc analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
- Assist in storytelling by preparing presentations and dashboards in support of executive meetings, monthly and quarterly business reviews, and various strategic and analytics projects.
- Drive process improvements and automation of financial reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of finance or accounting experience required.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions; experience with Power BI strongly preferred.
