About the role
The Financial Analyst III – Procurement serves as a key finance partner to the sourcing and supply chain teams, providing data-driven insights to support purchasing and cost management decisions. This role contributes to financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis related to direct materials and procurement activities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sourcing and supply chain teams to provide financial analysis supporting purchasing decisions and cost management initiatives.
- Analyze direct material spending, purchase price variances, and cost trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support forecasting, planning, and month-end close processes related to procurement and material costs.
- Prepare and deliver financial reporting comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Track and evaluate cost reduction initiatives and provide visibility into realized savings.
- Affirm reporting processes to enhance data accuracy and usability.
- Identify issues, recommend solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in developing and improving reporting processes to enhance data accuracy and usability.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment preferred.
- Advanced degree or certifications preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Ability to connect procurement activities to financial performance and business outcomes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
